Elva, displayed at the 1912 Boat Show, was named after one of Mr Collings three daughters. In her early days,she was used around Auckland, Kawau and Great Barrier Islands by Hugh Preston. Malcolm Pearce found her north of Auckland and brought her to Rotorua for a restoration and use on the lakes. Grant Cossey and Nigel Brock purchased her in 2004 from Malcolm.
