Doris was built at the Deeming shipyard in Opua , Bay of Islands wher she spent much of her life pulling barges and transporting suplies to and from Opua, Paihia and Kerikeri. She is powered by a 27HP Kubota diesel and whilst having been refitted at Tony Mitchell's yard in 2007, is in very original condition.
