Owned by John Young. This boat was designed and built by John’s dad Jim Young from Invercargill in 1998.  6m.  The design is based on a McGregor motor sailer. The sails and rigging are from a Nolex. The original motor was an Evinrude 70hp which was extremely noisy with a lot of vibration. I have recently recovered it with a Hidea 60hp 4 stroke which is quiet and a pleasure for cruising around the lake.
