Tornado "Olympic Class" catamaran. Built of foam sandwich construction, a Tornado is capable of 30 knots on a reach and 18 knots upwind. The first one was built to win the IYRU Olympic catamaran trials in 1967 in the UK which it did easily. A Tornado is still arguably the fastest production catamaran in the world
