Halcion Daze is a  1972 17feet 6 inch Vista craft cabin runabout. The design was made under licence to Haines Hunter. John Haines trademark hull design featured a deep vee with pronounced longitudinal strakes.
The boat was purchased new by my father Ian in early1973  originally powered by a 125hp Johnson, the largest option in OMC's lineup just in  time for the Oil Crisis when petrol went from 10 cents per litre to  40 cents!
She spent many years at the Ohau Channel Motor Camp  being used for fishing, water skiing   and trips to the hot pools.
In 1985 0wnership passed to Ross and Tricia Ogle. Her new home was the Tauranga Harbour.
Re-engined with a 185 V6 Johnson hundreds of hours were spent water skiing at
Hunters Creek, many trips to Motiti island diving and a number of camping trips to Mayor Island.
She is now used exclusively for trips to Lake Rotoiti.
