The Pre-Parade Captains' Briefing will be held at the Ramada Resort on the afternoon of Friday 6th February, 2026. 3-5pm

Feb 7th Saturday
CLASSIC AND WOODEN BOAT PARADE
The 29th Annual Lake Rotoiti Classic & Wooden Boat Parade will be held on Saturday 7th February, 2026. (Rain date: Sunday 8th February, 2026). The parade starts at 11 am with 3 canon shots; one at 10:50 pm, one at 10:55 and 11 am. Assemble in the Okere arm from 10am.

This is followed by our picnic at Wairau Bay then onto the parade dinner that evening at the VR Resort.

Wooden/Fast/Retro Boat events.

PRICES

Parade Dinner - $45 per adult, Children 5-11 Yrs $19.  Infants free. Venue VR Resort.

Parade Entry - $35 per boat for members and $45 for non-members (this automatically makes you a member). Full Parade details will be emailed to you upon receipt of registration.  Please book early to assist the organisers.

Late Fee - Entries received after January 10th will be subject to a $10 late fee.

Accommodation - Phone the VR Resort and say you are attending the Classic and Wooden Boat Parade. (07) 362 4599.  The manager has put some rooms aside for our members. You will get a special room rate of $190 a night (usually about $100 more than that at peak time). 

The Public - there will be an onshore viewing area for the public a few hundred metres south from the Okere Store. An MC will announce the boats as they pass. The parade will start with a canon fire.
