Annual Fishing Challenge, Labour weekend, October each year
2008 -
The annual Fishing Weekend was
held as usual on Labour weekend 25th & 26th October 2008. The fishing commenced
at first light on Saturday with the weigh in at Bill & Cherry Fowlers boat shed
in Kakaho Bay, with a BBQ following the Sunday weigh in.
The weather was not good for comfortable fishing with strong winds and a
very choppy lake and consequently very few fish to weigh.
Catergories: Heaviest Trout, Best Looking Trout, Lucky mystery
weight, Smallest trout, Women's catch, Best children's catch.

2006 - The fishing contest was a great success with great weather and good fishing which enabled us to have a very enjoyable prize giving on the Sunday followed by a BBQ in and around Bill & Cherry Fowler's boat shed in Kakaho Bay. The event was attended by over 80 people and was again kindly judged by Brian & Faye Stamp.
